「燒衣」是中國其中一個重要的文化,主要是通過燃燒金銀衣紙,向不同的對象祈求庇佑。時至今天,雖然有很多人仍有燃燒衣紙的習慣,但他們未必知道衣紙的用途和內容,而一般人也會因衣紙與死亡的關係,對衣紙有所忌違,避免接觸有關的訊息。亦因為燃燒衣紙會對環境做成影響,不少機構於未能提出合適的方法下,決定禁止燃燒衣紙,而有機會做成文化斷層。

衣時日紙是希望通過一些與生活有關的元素,以較低的影響下將這文化延續下去,能夠令使用者明白:他們燒的是甚麼、為甚麼要按某些日子燃燒衣紙、所祈求的又是甚麼庇佑。

設計成品:

“Burning joss paper” is one of the most important culture in China, people pray for different blessing by burning joss paper. Nowadays, there are still many people have this habit, but they might not understand the content of that. Also, people will directly have a linkage between joss paper and death, therefore, they will avoid to know the information. Moreover, some organisations decided to stop burning joss paper, because they cannot provide a appropriate method to solve the environmental problem, which caused by burning joss paper, and it have the opportunity to make cultural faults.

The days of joss paper is a project which design with some life-related elements to reduce the affect and try to inherit this culture, also it can provide the information to users: what they burn? when they burn? and why they burn?
